Three Summer Easies *Breakfast edition*

Sometimes when it’s Summer the last place I want to be in is in the kitchen. Plus, I’m usually on the go, ready to head out into the sunshine (with sunscreen!). Here are three of my favorite easy Summer go-to breakfasts.

Summer Spiced Cottage Cheese

1/2-3/4 cup cottage cheese (depending on how hungry I am and how much work I have in front of me outside)
pinch each of Summer Spice Blend and Summer Digestive Salt Blend
1/2 handful of dried cranberries or cherries (we have a local cherry grower so it’s those more often than not)
1-2 T slivered almonds or walnut pieces (walnuts are great for the kidneys!)
drizzle maple syrup
lime zest

Put cottage cheese in a cup, dust with spice and salt blends and remaining toppings. Enjoy!

Easy Summer Chia

1/8 cup chia seeds
1T flax seeds
3/4 cup almond milk
scant handful of dried cranberries or cherries
fresh mint
pinch cardamom
drizzle of maple syrup (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a cup and let sit 10-15 minutes, stirring once or twice to avoid clumping. Enjoy!

Summer Berry Smoothie

Handful of raspberries
Handful of blueberries
1/2 an avocado
1/2 t cardamom
juice of 1/2 small lime
1 scoop protein powder of choice (optional)
8 oz almond milk or coconut water

Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Enjoy!
